We will test Nigeria' - Hrubesch

Head coach of Germany’s U23 team, Horst Hrubesch does not expect an easy ride when his charges face Nigeria in the semi-finals of the men’s football event at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Germany have been in impressive form in the tournament, netting 19 times in four games so far in Rio.

Hrubesch knows he holds the reins on a very formidable side but is also full of respect for Nigeria’s U23 side.
“They (Nigeria) have a great team with lots of quality, but my team is good and we will surely test them.
“We had our first final against Portugal and now we are playing our next against Nigeria,” Hrubesch [above] was quoted as saying on the official German football federation website, www.dfb.de
One of the players Hrubesch will be relying on to put Nigeria to the sword on Wednesday is Borussia Dortmund centre back, .
Ginter, [above]who scored in the 4-0 win over Portugal in the quarter finals was also part of the Germany squad that won the Fifa World Cup title in 2014 in Brazil.
The defender will be delighted to add Olympic Gold to his World Cup winner’s medal but he insists that it is important to treat Nigeria with respect in Wednesday’s semi-final.
"If it comes to that (winning Olympic Gold), it would obviously be fantastic.
"But we now face a very difficult opponent in the semi-final. We will give everything to reach the final.” he said.
The game between Nigeria and Germany will take place at Arena Corinthians, São Paulo by 8pm.
